WATER AND YOU VOL 2 - ISSUE 2
STAY HYDRATED THIS SUMMER!
It's Summer and I'm sure you already have plans for the break.
Whether you are going on vacation to Thailand, Hawaii, Iceland, France or Spain, or you are simply enjoying the break within your locality, nothing should stop you from enjoying this period to the fullest.
Even if you are not taking time off work or your regular schedule, ensure you remain refreshed and revitalized by drinking enough water throughout the summer season.
Here are some vital reasons:
- The sun is out, the grass is green and it feels like the perfect time for outdoor picnics, beautiful hikes, pool time and beach lounging. However, you have to stay hydrated to enjoy any of those activities.
- Your body loses more fluids in the summer, making it easier to become parched. Thus, you are likely to experience fatigue, dry skin, muscle cramping, constipation and dizziness if not properly hydrated.
- Usually, Heartburns and Stomach ulcers are as a result of excess acid build up in the stomach. Insufficient mucus in the stomach to protect the stomach from this acid can be caused by dehydration.
- Drinking water fills you up faster and minimizes binge eating and impulsive buying.
As you plan to have fun this summer, remember to always carry a bottle of water along with you. The worst case scenario is not drinking too little or too much water, but not drinking at all.
